BRHLL Hosts Majors Baseball District 7 Tournament

BRHLL is honored to host the 2019 District 7 Majors Boys Baseball Tournament

As the host team for the 12's District 7 Tournament, Haverford is responsible to provide volunteers to run the tournament.  Let's get down to it....

Volunteer Sign-up
  • District 7 Tournament runs from Wednesday, July 3rd through Friday, July 12th.  Refer to bracket for game dates and time as you consider volunteer spots.
  • We need to show District 7 Haverford Hospitality.  I have attached the District 7 volunteer spreadsheet as a google doc (open as a google sheet) so you can sign-up and see what is still available in real-time.  If you are unable to open the google doc, please email me directly (do not reply all) and I will update the spreadsheet.
  • Please do not be shy about signing up for more than one spot.  We need many hands on deck.  Click here for the spreadsheet.  Thank you to Al Pyrz for providing spreadsheet.  Even if you don't have a 12's player, please volunteer and bring your younger players as well as any boys who have aged out.  I promise you it will be a fantastic experience for them too - many of them know our 12's All-Stars!
  • Duties include:  Officer of the Day, pre-game maintenance, score book, announcer, scoreboard, post-game maintenance, etc.  Description of duties are included in the spreadsheet under the tab titled "Game Day Tasks".
  • I will send out email reminders to volunteers the morning of each game to confirm your spot.  If your schedule changes or you are unable to fulfill your volunteer responsibility, please find a replacement.
  • Let's get all the volunteer spots filled by Monday so you don't have to clutter your inbox with multiple asks from me!  ;-)

Field Day
  • Field Day is scheduled for Monday, July 1st at 6pm.  12's will be practicing at Haverford during that time.
  • Let's show pride in our league.  We need as many people to show up so we can make our fields and grounds look presentable.
  • Duties include but not limited to: tightening up mesh, fixing signs, cleaning the concession stand area, cleaning up dug outs, bathroom, roundabout, overall grounds maintenance, etc.
  • If you are available to come Monday, please bring the following items: weed eaters, brooms, leaf rakes, snips for zip ties, blowers, pruning tools (prune ivy around the signs), maybe even a small chain saw (just in case), etc.
  • I plan to work on the round about landscaping (weeding, plant a few hearty plants and mulching) before Monday - date/time TBD.  If you are interested in helping with this, please text me directly.
