Divisions

League Age

The divisions are based on "League age," which is used as the official age for your child in both BRHLL and Little League internationally. For Tee-Ball and Baseball divisions, it is your child's age of April 30th in the year in which he/she will be playing. For Softball divisions, it is your child's age as of December 31st in the year prior to the season in which she will be playing.

Rookies Tee-Ball

For boys and girls ages 5-6. Please note that your child must be at least 5 as of April 30th to play that year. 6 year olds who do not have one year of experience must play tee-ball.

Minors Baseball

Coach pitch division for players ages 6-9. 6 year olds may be evaluated and chosen for a team provided they played as Rookies when they were 5 in an approved tee-ball program and they have the ability to compete with 7 and 8 year olds. Safety and ability will dictate whether or not a 6 year old plays in coach pitch division. The emphasis is on instruction and fun, making this more of a recreational division than a competitive division.

AAA Baseball

For boys typically ages 9 and 10, but may include some 8 year olds depending upon ability pending their evaluation. AAA is a more competitive league than Minors, where players continue to develop their skills.

Majors Baseball

For experienced 11 and 12 year old boys, but may include some 10 year olds depending upon ability, league approval and parental permission. This is a fairly competitive division, but if a child has been working their way through the divisions, they will be ready and really enjoy it.

Juniors Baseball

For experienced 13 and 14 year old boys. This is a competitive division, but if a child has been working their way through the divisions, they will be ready and really enjoy it.

Minors Softball

For girls typically ages 6 thru 9. Ideal for girls that have played 1 year of tee-ball or have never participated in softball or tee ball. A great introduction to softball that will start your child on a path to a wonderful softball experience at BRHLL.

AAA Softball

For girls ages 9 and 10 years old, but may include some 8 year olds depending upon ability pending their evaluation. This is a "kid-pitch" division. Girls will continue to learn softball and be introduced to pitching. AAA is a more competitive league than Minors, where players continue to develop their skills.

Majors Softball

For experienced girls 9 through 12 years of age. This is a more competitive division.
